14-Year-Old Kaedin Averrios Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Tehachapi

 
TEHACHAPI, CA (October 26, 2022) – Authorities identified 14-year-old Kaedin Averrios as the bicyclist killed in an accident on Tucker Road on Monday afternoon.
 
According to the Tehachapi Police Department, the incident happened on October 24 at about 4:00 p.m. A pickup truck was reportedly exiting a parking lot when it hit the boy in the 500 block of Tucker Road.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the boy dead at the scene. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the victim’s family with funeral expenses.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck remained and cooperated with investigators. Investigators believe that the driver did not see the passing bicyclist.
