8-Vehicle Crash on Magnolia Avenue in Anaheim Kills 1 and Injures 10, DUI Suspect Arrested

 
ANAHEIM, CA (December 26, 2022) – A woman died in a DUI eight-vehicle crash at Magnolia Avenue and Ball Road in Anaheim on Thursday afternoon.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:15 p.m. on December 22. According to the Anaheim Police Department, an SUV was speeding southbound along Magnolia Avenue and failed to stop at the red light at Ball Road. It then collided with a sedan, setting off a chain reaction with six other vehicles.
 
As a result of the crash, the female driver of the sedan died at the scene. Ten other people suffered moderate injuries.
 
Police arrested the 36-year-old male driver of the SUV on suspicion of DUI.
 
Alcohol played a role in the crash, police said. Further investigation is underway.
